Pumpkin Patch Daily Gate Log
The Pumpkin Patch Daily Gate Log is a free one-tab spreadsheet — one row per operating day, for a pumpkin patch, corn maze or u-pick field in October and a Christmas tree farm in November and December. A cash box tells you what came in; it cannot tell you whether Saturday was quiet because the season is soft or because it rained. So this log adds one box at closing: the weather band you saw, recorded beside that day's admissions and gate revenue, while you still remember it. It opens on ten worked operating days from a fictional farm — a clear Saturday, an overcast one and a wet Sunday, side by side.

What it does
- Puts a pumpkin patch, corn maze, u-pick field or Christmas tree farm day on one row — date, day type, weather band, hours open, admissions and gate revenue. Six boxes you type at closing, and nothing else to keep up with.
- Records the weather on a closed five-band dropdown — Clear, Overcast, Light rain, Heavy rain, Cold snap — so every row is comparable later. This is the whole point: free text you cannot group is the same as no weather column at all.
- Lets you compare a short wet day against a full clear one honestly: three columns compute themselves — the day of the week from the date, revenue per admission, and revenue per hour open.
- Totals the season as you go — operating days, hours open, admissions, gate revenue and both per-unit figures — off plain sums, so nothing is hidden behind a formula you cannot read.
- Runs a Christmas tree farm in November and December on the same six boxes it uses for a pumpkin patch in October — read “admissions” as customers through the gate and “gate revenue” as that day's tree sales, and the columns do the same work. Keep one copy per season, so each season totals on its own.
- Opens pre-filled with 10 operating days from an invented farm's 2027 fall season, covering all five weather bands and three Saturdays — two clear, one overcast — so the comparison is visible before you type anything. Type straight over them, or clear only the orange cells in rows 6 to 15 (column A, and columns C to G) and start your own.
